Olwyn Gillespie
Olwyn has enjoyed the companionship of dogs in her life from a very early age. Throughout her teenage years she volunteered for the SPCA, and she has owned dogs throughout her various corporate roles. From Fox Terrier to Doberman; Border Collie X, Beardie X and Irish Wolfhound X and all sizes and personalities in between, her love of dogs has seen her training, walking and having adventures with dogs over many years.
Over the last eight years many people have asked her to train, walk and mind their dogs. The pleasure of gaining a dog’s trust and working to develop respect and obedience is the reason Olwyn considered making her former hobby a full time business. When asked why, the simple answer was “4 The Love of Dogs”.
Sharing beach and bush walks, cuddles, play-time and training sessions with dogs is her ultimate passion. To be able to offer these services to dogs whose owners are working, sick, on holiday, relocating between homes or needing time to themselves is the fundamental driving force behind starting “4 The Love of Dogs”.
A well- mannered, happy, content, well exercised and healthy dog is her goal.
